Note: Due to the recordkeeping
and reporting requirements imposed by the Internal Revenue Service,
Girls Incorporated of Alameda County requests all donors who will
require Girls Incorporated to execute IRS Form 8283, “Noncash
Charitable Contributions”, for contributions over $5,000 to
present such forms for execution at the time of donation. Girls
Incorporated will not be able to execute such forms at any time
thereafter if the donated property cannot be traced. Girls Incorporated
is required to report to the Internal Revenue Service the sales
proceeds of any single item for which the donor claimed a deduction
of more than $500 where the donor has contributed more than $5,000.
