Women of Impact
Women of Impact (WOI) is a group of women of all ages committed to empowering girls in Alameda County. Each WOI member pledges to invest at least $1,000 a year ($250 quarterly or $84 a month). Member benefits include:
- Opportunities to collaborate with like-minded individuals to build a better future for girls
- Access to special invitation-only events and volunteer opportunities
- Access to organizational updates exclusively for members
Since its inception in 2012, WOI members have invested nearly $300,000 in our community, providing access, resources, and opportunities for girls.

Girls Inc. of Alameda County offers volunteer opportunities with our school-based afterschool programs in Oakland and San Leandro, and at the Simpson Center for Girls in downtown Oakland. Opportunities are flexible and range from supporting afterschool literacy activities for first graders to speaking about career paths to middle and high school girls.
