Women of Impact January Breakfast

Attendees of our recent women of Impact Breakfast gained insight into our host of Health and Advocacy programs available to high schoolers. Program Coordinator Mahaugoni Sellman discussed the main objectives and highlights from each program: Achieving Change Together (ACT), Helping Everyone Achieve Success Together (HEART), and Healthy Evolving Relationships (HER).

They also learned about the many ways they can get involved with our youth, through active engagement –as mentors, role models, tutors, scholarship judges and more—varying levels of financial support and event opportunities.

This breakfast celebrated a year since the relaunch of our new Women of Impact Program, where we added biannual networking and informational breakfasts, three different investment levels, and a distinct mission and vision.

You do not have to attend a breakfast to join the WOI program, you can join at any time via our website, or by reaching out to our Community Engagement and Corporate Relations Manager, Selena Solorio, (ssolorio@girlsincalameda.org, 510-357-5515 ext. 220).
