Outpatient Mental Health Clinic

Pathways Counseling Center operates as a general outpatient mental health clinic. Although many of the programs at Girls Incorporated of Alameda County are primarily for girls, Pathways Counseling Center provides services for men and boys as well as for girls and women. Pathways Counseling Center therapists offer therapy to individual children, adolescents, and adults, as well as couples and families. Both short-term and long-term treatment are available, depending on the needs of the client. Treatment is offered in both Spanish and English for a full-range problems and disorders. In addition, a full-time case manager is available to help families with children locate and access resources.

To supplement these on-site psychotherapy and case management services, Pathways therapists also provide Family Communication Workshops (at no fee) at public schools. Pathways also delivers campus-based mental health services for students at selected middle and high schools in San Leandro and Oakland. The schools are:

  • Oakland Technical High School in the TechniClinic School-Based Health Center

San Leandro:

  • Washington Elementary School
  • Lincoln Continuation High School

For health services, call our main number at (510) 357-5515. Evening hours are available by appointment. Fees are determined on a sliding scale based on income and size of family. Pathways Counseling Center is a contracted provider for many insurance companies and managed care organizations, as well as for Alameda County MediCal and the Victims of Crime program.
