A Delighted Palate

August 20, 2010

The Women of Taste event has always been a great place to be introduced to local, award-winning wineries like Donkey and Goat, Dashe Cellars and JC Cellars. At the 2009 Women of Taste event, we met Neil and Glenda Cohn of Hannah Nicole Vineyards. Their spectacular, lightly-oaked Chardonnay was a hit, and we are excited that they will be joining us again at the 2010 event.

Neil and Glenda began winemaking accidentally. When the market for apples fell in 1999, they planted Cabernet grapes instead. By 2002, they had decided to turn their hobby into a business. Neil and Glenda purchased

80 acres in Brentwood, planting Bordeaux and Rhone varietals. They seek to showcase the unique qualities of one of California’s first wine-making regions. They are passionate about showcasing the unique qualities of one of California's first wine-making regions.

Last year, guests remarked that the Chardonnay was the best they’d ever had. Make sure to visit Neil and Glenda this year to taste their newest offering.

As much as Women of Taste is an opportunity to discover new favorites, there are also many businesses who return every year. With their beautiful displays and delicious food, Savoy Events is always a crowd favorite.

Husband and wife team Robert Gott and Mica Talmort-Gott met in culinary school and worked in several successful restaurants and bakeries before starting their catering company in 2004. They have quickly become known for their inventive menus and creative flavors.  Robert and Mica seek to show their passion for food through a commitment to local, seasonal produce and meats.

Robert and Mica always wow us with an exciting, bountiful display of treats. Definitely stop by to see what they bring this year.
