Girls Inc. Information Technology Program Represents 120 Programs Across the Nation

Girls Inc.'s Information Technology (IT) Program was recently chosen to be featured in a short video. Our after-school IT program for underserved middle school girls was designed to promote girls' IT fluency, interest in math, and knowledge of IT careers, to address the significant gender gap in high-paying advanced technology careers.

This program is part of ITEST (The Innovative Technology Experiences for Students and Teachers) and was established with the National Science Foundation in response to current concerns about the growing demand for information technology workers in the U.S. The Girls Inc. IT program was one of six programs chosen to represent the more than 120 ITEST projects because of its unique all-girl environment and outstanding results.
