Girls Inc. Rings the Nasdaq Bell

Girls Inc. has been invited to ring the opening bell at the NASDAQ stock market next Tuesday, August 10th in celebration of the ING-Girls Inc. Investment Challenge Symposium, which will be held in New York next week. Girls Inc. of Alameda County will ring the opening bell along with representatives from ING and the three original teams of the Investment Challenge from affiliates in NYC, L.A., and Denver.

Through the Investment Challenge, 13 Eurekans experience a unique online stock trading simulation through a website that replicates real-world, up-to-date stock market conditions. The virtual interest earned will be honored by ING and applied towards the participants’ college and higher education.

Since 2008, girls research investment opportunities, present their recommendations to the team, and campaign for the company of her choice to be added to the investment portfolio.
