Preschool teachers and public school teachers are in a unique position. They are often the first to detect the psychological problems, developmental delays, and emotional troubles which preschoolers and public school students may be experiencing. In many instances, child and teen difficulties are identified at a later point in time - when their symptoms and behaviors have become extreme and visible. Teachers' timely identification of these problems can make a world of difference for a family being able to easily access needed resources in a manner that is free of stigma.
