Operation SMART provides hands-on after-school science and math programming to girls in the 4th - 7th grades at ASCEND, Think College Now, International Community School, Hawthorne Elementary, Stonehurst Elementary, Madison Middle School and Havenscourt Middle School. Students are encouraged to take risks, experiment, and work in teams to discover how math, technology, engineering, and science relate to their everyday lives.

In order for a girl to participate in any Girls Inc. program, an enrollment packet must be completed. Enrollment packets for all programs except GIRLStart are available online. All programs are free or based on a minimum charge and no girl is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.
