ALL STARS

The ALL STARS (Sports, Technology, Academics, Responsibility, Service) Middle School Program at Muir Middle School is Girls Inc.'s newest program for girls in 6th through 8th grades.

This three day weekly program is exposes girls to positive experiences, settings and people, as well as opportunities to gain and refine a range of academic competencies and life skills. Project-based learning in multiple program areas includes math, science, technology, health, community involvement, sports and fitness. Girls are also supported in their academic achievement through daily homework assistance.

BuildIT

Build IT (Girls Building Information Technology Fluency Through Design) is a problem-based curriculum for middle school girls that capitalizes on girls’ interest in design and communication technologies to encourage girls to develop their IT fluency, interest in mathematics, and knowledge of IT careers.

In order for a girl to participate in any Girls Inc. program, an enrollment packet must be completed. Enrollment packets for all programs except GIRLStart are available online. All programs are free or based on a minimum charge and no girl is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.
